Entry Level Aviation Planner
The Entry Level Aviation Planner at Confidential Client supports multi-disciplinary aviation planning projects including landside, terminal, airside, airspace, environmental, land use, and financial analyses. The role involves data research and analysis, development of maps and presentations, assisting in planning alternatives, and supporting stakeholder engagement to help shape future airport infrastructure. What You’ll Do
- Research, collect, organize, and analyze raw data for use in aviation planning projects.
- Perform project analysis using technical guidance and planning software.
- Prepare maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reports to support project teams.
- Conduct research on policies, regulations, and planning concepts relevant to airports and transportation.
- Assist with development of conceptual planning alternatives for landside, terminal, airside, airspace, environmental, and land use studies.
- Support preparation of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Assist with stakeholder and public participation activities.
- Maintain project records, files, and data collections.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Strong aptitude for analyzing data and producing supporting visualizations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for a range of audiences.
- Motivation to ask questions, flag challenges, and propose practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for aviation and airport planning challenges.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Aviation Management, Urban Planning, or similar technical major (non-traditional majors with strong technical skills are welcome).
- Prior experience with airports, airlines, or transportation authorities.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or design tools such as Rhinoceros, Revit, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign.
- Experience with data analysis languages or tools (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

Locations & Compensation
- Locations: Boston, MA (authoritative) with additional openings in San Francisco, CA.
- Massachusetts (Boston) approximate pay range: $71,233.98 - $106,850.97 per year (good-faith estimate; actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and specific work location).
- California (San Francisco Bay Area) approximate pay range (for those locations): $74,202.07 - $111,303.10 per year.
