What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry‑Level Aviation Engineer to join their aviation team in Cody, WY. This is an early-career role that provides hands-on exposure to airport planning, design, construction oversight, and client-facing project delivery. You will work with experienced engineers and project managers to support aviation civil engineering projects that improve air transportation infrastructure.
- Assist with client communication and coordination on aviation civil engineering projects
- Support development of construction cost estimates and review bid documents
- Assist with design tasks and preparation of drawings and technical details
- Provide information and materials for specifications and contract documents
- Research design alternatives and present options to engineers and project managers
- Perform construction inspection and on-site oversight as required
- May serve as an onsite project representative during construction
- Report workload, schedule changes, and scope updates to the Project Manager
- Perform additional duties assigned to support project delivery
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the minimum education and licensing expectations and should demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- EI/EIT certification required or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
- 0–3 years’ experience preferred; airport consulting/engineering experience is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work on challenging projects
- Willingness to travel locally, especially during construction season
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $89,265 per year (estimated)
