Position overview

Confidential client is seeking an Entry Level Associate Neurophysiologist for a field-based, regional traveler role serving the Mid-Atlantic (NJ, PA, MD, WV, VA, Washington, DC). This is an entry-level IOM (intraoperative neuromonitoring) position with fully paid training and strong opportunity for career growth. Estimated pay: $36,540 per year (estimated).


What You’ll Do

This is a clinical, patient-facing role in the operating room. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) during surgical cases and communicate monitoring findings to the surgeon and OR team.
  • Obtain and document detailed patient histories and discuss structures at risk and monitoring modalities with the surgeon.
  • Display, label, measure, and calculate waveform data (latencies, amplitudes, conduction times) following established protocols.
  • Select appropriate monitoring protocols and perform troubleshooting to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Complete required documentation, IOM logs, and timely electronic uploads.
  • Maintain and perform basic checks on neuromonitoring equipment and supplies.
  • Follow all policies, codes of conduct, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; this is an entry-level role with paid training.
  • CNIM status required or the ability to obtain and maintain CNIM.
  • Operating Room (OR) experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to lift and transport IOM equipment and supplies (approximately 50 lbs).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for interaction with surgeons and surgical staff.
  • Strong time management, organization, and ability to manage competing demands and frequent schedule changes.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and access to private transportation.
  • Eligible for medical malpractice coverage at standard company rates (coverage provided by the employer).
  • Meet hospital credentialing and any applicable vaccination or physical requirements.

Travel & Physical Demands

  • This is a field-based role with up to 100% travel across the Mid-Atlantic region; assignments vary daily.
  • Frequent standing; ability to bend, perform manual tasks while wearing PPE, and maintain visual/auditory acuity needed for monitoring.
  • Must be able to transport equipment and work in operating room environments safely.
