What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Associate Neurophysiologists to provide intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) for surgical cases across Ohio. This field-based role supports surgeons and OR teams by monitoring the nervous system, communicating key findings, and ensuring accurate documentation.

  • Obtain patient history and consult with surgeons about structures at risk and monitoring modalities
  • Monitor electrophysiological signals, display and label waveforms, and record latencies/amplitudes per protocol
  • Communicate monitoring updates and alerts to the surgical team throughout procedures
  • Select appropriate monitoring protocols and troubleshoot equipment or signal issues
  • Complete required documentation, IOM logs, and timely file uploads
  • Maintain neuromonitoring equipment and perform routine checks
  • Follow company policies, codes of conduct, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned while supporting a patient-first culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree typically required; no prior professional experience required
  • CNIM-eligible via an ABRET pathway (e.g., bachelor’s degree, R EEG T or R EP T certification, or graduation from an accredited IOM program)
  • Working knowledge of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, human anatomy/physiology, or technical troubleshooting is preferred
  • Operating room (OR) experience is a plus
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills; ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced OR environment
  • Clear verbal communication skills in English and proven teamwork ability with surgeons and surgical staff
  • Ability to travel regularly for field-based shifts and maintain required hospital privileges
  • Must be eligible for standard-rate medical malpractice insurance (provided by the company) and able to obtain/maintain CNIM certification
  • Meet any applicable physical or vaccination requirements for hospitals where privileges are maintained

Travel & Physical Demands

  • Field-based role with travel up to ~25%
  • Ability to transport and set up neuromonitoring equipment (up to ~50 lbs) and associated supplies
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, perform fine manual tasks, and use required PPE
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Compensation & Schedule

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Estimated pay (from source): $44,237 per year (estimated)
  • Schedule: OR-shift based; field assignments across Ohio
