Confidential Client (Accounting & Finance) is hiring an Entry Level AP/AR specialist to join their finance team in Highland Park, TX. This is an early-career opportunity to build foundational experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payment runs, and collections.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers; prepare supporting documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close tasks and prepare journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and financial documentation.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and basic financial analysis.
- Support internal controls, audit preparation, and compliance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and support business decisions.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or financial systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy; eagerness to learn.
- Internship, part-time accounting experience, or relevant coursework preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $55,059 per year (estimated).
- Benefits (where applicable): medical, dental, vision, life/disability insurance, and 401(k) eligibility for eligible hires. Specific benefits and eligibility depend on the confidential client’s policies.
Location
