What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Analytical Chemist to support drug substance and drug product development in a GMP laboratory environment. This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on analytical testing, method support, and data integrity.

  • Responsible for utilizing analytical methodologies, systems, and processes across development phases
  • Prepare, set up, and analyze drug substance and/or drug product samples using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, SFC, UV-Vis, and NMR
  • Perform dissolution testing and other wet-chemistry assays (e.g., KF, pH)
  • Support development, optimization, qualification, validation, and transfer of analytical methods (assay, purity, dissolution, impurity characterization)
  • Conduct stability, degradation, and investigational studies to evaluate product performance and risk
  • Assess stability, dissolution, and impurity trends to inform product and process decisions
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments under guidance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within electronic laboratory systems (eLN), following SOPs, compendial procedures, and GMP requirements
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of quality, safety, productivity, organization, and client service expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field, or equivalent directly-related experience
  • Basic laboratory skills and the ability to follow written procedures, protocols, and work instructions accurately
  • Experience in analytical chemistry and working in a GMP laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and data trending tools
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, keep accurate records, and follow company policies
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

  • Employment type: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; overtime as needed)
  • Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Quaker Hill, CT are encouraged to apply

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: USD 25.00 – USD 27.25 per hour (as provided in source)
