What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks an Entry Level Analytical Chemist to support regulated laboratory testing for pharmaceutical and biotech products. This is an early-career laboratory role with hands-on training and opportunities to grow technical skills.
- Perform routine analytical testing using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis and other spectroscopic methods, and wet chemistry techniques under supervision.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and standards following SOPs and good laboratory practices.
- Document experimental work accurately in lab notebooks and electronic systems to meet GLP/GMP requirements.
- Assist with method development, validation activities, and troubleshooting analytical procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting and calibration on analytical instruments.
- Analyze and interpret data, generate reports, and communicate results to senior scientists and cross-functional teams.
- Support stability studies, raw material testing, and in-process control analyses.
- Follow safety, quality, and compliance procedures; participate in continuous improvement and training activities.
Required & Preferred Skills
- HPLC operation and basic troubleshooting
- Gas chromatography (GC) techniques
- UV-Vis and other spectroscopic methods
- Wet chemistry (titrations, pH, standard assays) and sample/reagent preparation
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP documentation and regulated-lab recordkeeping
- Basic instrument maintenance and calibration
- Data analysis and reporting using scientific software (e.g., Chromeleon, Empower, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation in regulated environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
- Training in laboratory safety and chemical hygiene.
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP or ISO laboratory quality standards preferred.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, or LC-MS instrumentation preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range (as listed): $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
