Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Analytical Chemist (Chemist I) for a night-shift, full-time laboratory role in Casa Grande, AZ. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a technical diploma or associate degree in chemistry, laboratory science, biology, food science, or a related field who want hands-on experience in QC, production support, and GMP-regulated environments.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine laboratory procedures: prepare solutions, reagents, samples, and testing materials.
- Conduct basic laboratory analyses and technical procedures following established protocols.
- Observe, collect, and accurately record test results and laboratory data.
- Perform routine calculations and compile data for review.
- Stock, organize, and distribute laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Assemble, clean, and maintain laboratory apparatus and workspaces.
- Clean and store glassware and laboratory equipment correctly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Assist with tracking and managing compounds, samples, and laboratory inventories.
- Support functions across Production, Research & Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and Compliance/Environmental Monitoring.
- Follow safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, and help the team meet FDA, OSHA, and internal compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related technical field preferred.
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to accurately follow written instructions, SOPs, and testing protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain organized records and documentation.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and common computer applications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment under direct supervision.
Pay & Shift
- Pay: $24.50 per hour (source lists a broader pay range of $19.05 – $38.15 per hour for this position).
- Shift: 12-hour night shift, 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.
- Schedule details / rotating pattern:
- Week 1: Wed & Thurs (12 hrs)
- Week 2: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (12 hrs)
- Week 3: Wed & Thurs (12 hrs)
- Week 4: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (12 hrs)
- Work-life balance: every other weekend off (consistent rotating schedule).
