Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Acquisition Support Specialist in Fort Myer, VA to support acquisition contract management for munitions and terminal defense systems programs. This is an entry-level, full-time role providing day-to-day support to the Program Acquisition Team on tasks that include preparing acquisition documentation, assisting with Procurement Requests via the NAVAIR AMS tools, drafting SOWs and contract sections, and coordinating acquisition meetings. This role requires U.S. Citizenship due to clearance needs.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Program Acquisition Team with development, review, and processing of acquisition documentation
- Draft and help prepare Procurement Requests using the NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) suite
- Assist with Statements of Work (SOWs), contract Sections B–L, security documents, and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Coordinate briefings, meeting agendas, presentations, and record meeting minutes and action items
- Track acquisition milestones with program staff and the Contracting Officer; help resolve contract development/execution issues
- Support senior staff and Contracting Officer interactions as needed
- Travel less than 10% as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated general professional work experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Ability to travel <10%
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of contract management or acquisition support experience with government programs
- Current Secret U.S. Government Clearance

- Estimated base salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year (good-faith estimate; actual offer will consider experience, skills, and other factors)
