What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Acquisition Support Specialist to provide acquisition and contract management assistance to the Program Acquisition team supporting Terminal Defense Systems (TDS) efforts. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing acquisition documentation and briefings.
- Support development of Procurement Requests using NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) tools.
- Help draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and contract sections (Sections B–L), security documentation, and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Coordinate actions across stakeholders and support program meetings (agenda prep, presentation development, minutes, and tracking action items).
- Work with program acquisition staff and the Contracting Officer to monitor acquisition milestones and resolve contract development/execution issues.
- Maintain organized records and support senior staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and relevant general/professional work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort learning AMS or similar acquisition systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of contract management or acquisition support experience in government programs.
- Current DoD Secret clearance (preferred but not required if candidate can obtain).
- Familiarity with NAVAIR AMS suite and federal procurement processes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
