Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to support day-to-day accounting for subsidiary entities and to assist with month-end close activities. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this full-time, permanent role focuses on daily bank reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger (G/L) analysis, and maintaining schedules and records used for interim and year-end audits.
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
- Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries (prepaids, accruals, etc.)
- Maintain schedules needed for month-end close and audit support
- Reconcile and analyze G/L accounts for subsidiary companies
- Coordinate and reconcile subsidiary financials with outside accounting firms
- Assist outside auditors/accounting firm with reconciliation and work papers as needed
- Support staff and other employees with invoice coding and proper GL mapping
- Maintain orderly accounting records and perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a team
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately
Preferred / Helpful Skills
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Prior exposure to subsidiary accounting or multi-entity consolidation tasks
- Audit support experience (preparing work papers, supporting external auditors)
