What You’ll Do

This entry-level accounting role supports the day-to-day financial operations for a confidential client based in Saint Louis, MO. You'll work closely with experienced finance staff and gain practical, hands-on experience across core accounting functions.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Prepare and post journal entries under supervision
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities
• Assist with financial reports, spreadsheets, and audit preparation
• Track expenses and ensure proper transaction coding
• Respond to internal accounting inquiries
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–2 years of accounting experience (internships or co‑op experience accepted)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles; GAAP knowledge preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 20 pounds

• Compensation: $58,000 - $62,000 per year
