Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Accountant to join their Accounting & Finance team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, on-site role offering structured training, hands-on accounting experience, and a clear career path toward senior accounting and finance roles.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Perform branch audit evaluations and assist with internal controls
- Assemble bank reconciliations and maintain account schedules
- Prepare journal entries, expense accruals, and allocations
- Participate in a timely and accurate month-end close process
- Analyze income statement fluctuations and assist with financial reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance as needed (sales tax, other returns)
- Manage financial records and respond to questions on accounting policies and procedures
- Provide process improvement and cost-saving recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, HR, operations)
- May support T&E reporting, coding, and reimbursements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; students within one semester of graduation will be considered
- Planning to attain CPA within 1–2 years is preferred (flexible)
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid driver’s license required with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years

- This role is based in Jacksonville, FL (on-site at the client’s corporate location).
- Candidates should be open to potential future relocation for career advancement if required.
