What You’ll Do

Careertakes is supporting a Confidential Client seeking an Entry Level Accountant in Carson, CA. This is an on-site, full-time role on a growing finance team. You’ll get hands-on training and mentorship while performing day-to-day accounting tasks with an emphasis on accounts payable and month-end support.

• Process high-volume accounts payable (AP) transactions
• Review invoices and ensure accurate GL coding
• Maintain vendor records; assist with W-9 / 1099 compliance
• Generate checks and supporting payment documentation
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
• Reconcile A/P aging reports and support vendor reconciliations
• Assist with journal entries and month-end close activities
• Collaborate with internal departments to answer accounting questions
• Support audits and ad hoc accounting projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

We want candidates who are organized, eager to learn, and ready to grow in accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or graduating soon)
• Strong understanding of debits and credits
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
• Previous accounting or AP experience is a plus—but not required; thorough training is provided

Compensation & Location

• Pay range: $26 - $28 per hour (Confidential Client; Carson, CA)
• Employment type: Full-time; on-site in Carson, CA
• Training, mentorship, and hands-on experience provided
