What You’ll Do
This entry-level Environmental / Civil Engineering role supports water and wastewater projects across planning, design, and implementation phases. You will gain hands-on experience working with a regional team and technical leads on projects such as treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and lead service line rehabilitation.
- Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies
- Assist with design development and update design parameters based on field findings
- Perform water quality analyses and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling (HEC‑RAS, SWMM)
- Use ArcGIS, CADD, Excel and other engineering tools to prepare designs and analyses
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables
- Participate in construction management and on-site coordination to learn full project lifecycle
- Coordinate with regional leads on service line rehabilitation work and gain exposure to both office and field work
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline — or equivalent directly related experience
- Entry-level / 0 years experience accepted (new graduates encouraged)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (approximately 10% or less)
- Right to work in the U.S.; this position does not provide U.S. visa sponsorship
Skills & Abilities
- Familiarity with CADD and drafting fundamentals
- Basic understanding of engineering design principles
- Experience or coursework with ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word and general office software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in teams
- Willingness to perform fieldwork and construction-support activities
Compensation & Additional Information
- Pay range (good-faith estimate for this Houston, TX role): USD $59,426 — USD $98,051 per year
- Employment type: Full-time
- Travel: Up to ~10% (domestic or occasional international depending on project)
