What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Engineering Test Technician to join their engineering and manufacturing team in Plainview, NY. This hands-on role is an excellent entry point for recent Electrical Engineering graduates who want practical experience testing, validating, and troubleshooting aerospace electrical systems.

• Perform hands-on electrical testing, validation, and troubleshooting of aerospace components and systems
• Conduct component-level diagnostics, analysis, and repair of electronic assemblies
• Use bench test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), power supplies, and function generators
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Support testing and evaluation of aircraft temperature control and ice protection systems
• Accurately record test results and maintain detailed documentation and test logs
• Identify, document, and report product non-conformances and test failures
• Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve electrical issues
• Assist with product validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
• Expect to spend roughly 50–75% of the workday performing hands-on testing and troubleshooting activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply (including May 2026 graduates)
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, and electrical fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with laboratory or testing equipment via coursework, labs, internships, co-ops, or senior design projects
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented, manufacturing-oriented environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (range reflects factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity)

Ideal Candidate

You are a recent Electrical Engineering graduate who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to see classroom concepts applied to real systems. You are curious, methodical, and eager to learn electronics troubleshooting, test procedures, and aerospace product validation. Prior internships, co-ops, lab experience, military training, or senior projects that used test equipment are a plus.
