  • Develop project quotes, estimates, and proposals in coordination with sales and project management.
  • Create and maintain designs using the iBwave platform: equipment layouts, construction drawings, and submittals for senior review.
  • Conduct on-site RF surveys (pre- and post-install) to collect signal data and document site conditions.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and signal verification primarily with PCTEL and other RF test equipment.
  • Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and supporting design documentation.
  • Perform basic link budget calculations and coverage/data analysis.
  • Support light construction and installation tasks during onboarding to learn system build and integration.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to verify installations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with field teams.
  • Document field changes and as‑built conditions; incorporate field data into design packages.
  • Ensure designs and installations meet applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Participate in project reviews and team meetings; communicate status, risks, and technical needs to stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned, with increasing responsibility for design, testing, and field coordination over time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or related field preferred; equivalent military or relevant experience considered.
  • 0–2 years of hands-on experience in RF/telecom, IT, or a related technical area (internship or project experience counts).
  • Basic understanding of RF theory, wireless communications, and DAS/in‑building wireless concepts or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable performing light construction/field work and lifting 50+ lbs as needed.

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office). Ability to read engineering drawings and construction documents or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to relay technical information to field and office teams.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites (including occasional overnight travel).

Preferred Skills & Tools

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn iBwave design platform.
  • Experience or interest in PCTEL RF survey/test tools, spectrum analyzers, or similar RF test equipment.
  • CAD, Visio, or Bluebeam experience is a plus.
  • IT aptitude — this role will support some internal IT tasks and systems for the engineering group.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Estimated pay: $47,536 per year (estimated).

Why This Role?

This is an entry‑level engineering technologist role that blends field operations with engineering design. It’s ideal for someone who wants hands‑on RF/DAS experience, to learn how systems are built in the field, and then grow into a more design‑focused engineering role. You’ll get training, exposure to industry tools (iBwave, PCTEL), and close collaboration with experienced technicians and engineers.
