What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Engineering Technician to support engineering teams on Energy projects. The role focuses on producing clear, accurate drawings and permit packages and assisting engineers with routine technical tasks.
- Uses CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, InRoads, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other discipline-specific tools to produce simple to intermediate, deliverable drawings
- Reviews work for accuracy; makes corrections from redlines and backchecks
- Works within assigned work-hour budgets and maintains project records
- Coordinates technically with other disciplines as directed by the Project Manager
- Assists with simple design calculations, quantity takeoffs, reviewing specifications, and preparing cost estimates
- Supports quality assurance / quality control practices to reduce errors and omissions
- Performs building surveys and field assignments as required
- Learns and applies client-specific prototypes and standards for assigned projects
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
- Experience: Entry-level — no prior professional experience required; internships in A/E or related fields preferred
- Licensure: Not required for this role
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/InRoads, or hydrologic/hydraulic software preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good organizational and time-management skills; ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Clear oral and written communication skills; effective both independently and on project teams
- Demonstrated desire to grow technical knowledge and take on increasing responsibility
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $56,564 per year (estimated figure provided by source)
