What You’ll Do

This Contract-to-Hire role focuses on diagnosing and repairing electronic failures in precision test & measurement equipment. You will troubleshoot down to the component level, validate repairs with test equipment, and support production and engineering teams with failure analysis.

  • Perform root-cause analysis on complex electronic assemblies and systems
  • Read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams to isolate faults
  • Troubleshoot to the component level using structured logic and historical failure data
  • Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital multimeters (DMMs), power supplies and logic analyzers to validate repairs
  • Execute functional and performance tests to confirm compliance with specifications
  • Provide clear technical documentation and communicate findings with engineering and production teams

Who You Are

You have a solid foundation in electronics theory and hands-on troubleshooting. You can systematically isolate faults, identify common failure modes, and communicate technical findings clearly. This role is open to entry-level electrical engineers and technicians with relevant training or experience.


Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, including passive and active components
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit functionality
  • Proficiency with diagnostic instruments: oscilloscope, DMM, signal generator, logic analyzer
  • Experience troubleshooting to component-level failures
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering OR equivalent military electronics experience

Preferred / Additional

  • Experience with mechanical-electronics testing, debugging, calibration, and PCB-level repair
  • Logical fault isolation and pattern recognition skills
  • Clear technical writing and the ability to explain findings to multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing, clean environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire). Actual pay within this range depends on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.

  • Worksite: Fully onsite in West Slope, OR.
  • Environment: Manufacturing / clean room environment; team-oriented with frequent collaboration between technicians and engineers.
