What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on Engineering Technician role supporting manufacturing operations, pilot builds, process improvements, quality initiatives, and new product introductions in a semiconductor cleanroom environment. You will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and improve mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems to meet quality and performance requirements.

• Assemble, wire, inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems per specifications and work instructions
• Use blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve issues
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing and record results in production systems
• Support production from assembly through final test to help ensure on-time delivery
• Participate in pilot builds and the transition of new products into volume production
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, process optimization)
• Maintain technical documentation, records, and work instructions
• Serve as a technical resource to team members and coordinate assigned production activities and priorities
• Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain proper use of tools, materials, and equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience assembling and testing mechanical or electro-mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills using hand tools and test equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Experience performing mechanical and electrical testing
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work in a cleanroom environment
• Basic computer skills for documentation and production systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field — or equivalent experience
• Manufacturing internship, co-op, or other hands-on technical experience
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
• Experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or prototype/pilot build environments

Location, Schedule & Work Environment

• Location: Danbury, CT — fully onsite
• Schedule: Compressed 12-hour shift schedule (day or night shift options). New hires typically complete ~2 weeks of Monday–Friday training before moving to assigned shift.
• Environment: Semiconductor cleanroom — follow cleanroom protocols and PPE requirements

Pay & Benefits

• Pay range: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
