Program Overview

Confidential Client is hiring for a 2027 Engineering Rotational Development Program (ERDP) — Product Development Track. This is an entry-level, full-time, in-person rotational program (12–18 months) that provides hands-on engineering experience across product design, simulation, test/validation, controls, electronics, embedded software, data analytics, and process engineering. The program is designed to accelerate technical growth through meaningful project work, mentorship, and cross-functional exposure.


What You’ll Do

  • Rotate through multiple engineering teams and projects matched to your skills and interests.
  • Contribute to product design: create and iterate on components and systems from concept through production.
  • Perform simulation and performance analysis (e.g., FEA, CFD, 3D modeling) to optimize designs and systems.
  • Support test and validation activities — troubleshoot hardware and systems in hands-on environments.
  • Develop control algorithms and software using Matlab/Simulink and support production testing of control features.
  • Design and test electronic control modules, assist in PCB layout discussions, and perform circuit analysis.
  • Write and maintain embedded software in C, C#, and/or C++; create automation scripts (Python/Visual Basic) as needed.
  • Validate software and electronic systems on HIL or SIL platforms; document findings and support fixes.
  • Apply data analytics and basic machine learning concepts to engineering problems.
  • Improve manufacturing and process workflows through process engineering analysis and optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (must be completed before start) in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Agricultural, or Aerospace Engineering; Engineering Technology; or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 (no rounding).
  • 12 months or less of professional work experience (internships and co-ops are excluded from this limit).
  • Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and quickly acquire new technical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

Preferred (Top Candidates May Also Have)

  • Participation in campus design/competition teams or similar hands-on project experience.
  • Leadership experience on projects or teams.
  • Previous technical internship or co-op experience.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, Matlab/Simulink, Python, ANSYS/FEA, CFD, HIL/SIL testing.
  • Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn by doing.

Program Logistics & Additional Details

  • This is a Monday–Friday, in-person opportunity (onsite five days a week).
  • Applicants will be considered for positions throughout the United States; most openings are based in Peoria, Illinois, with limited availability in other locations (roles may also be posted in Tucson, AZ).
  • Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
  • Seats are limited for each 2027 start date: February 1, 2027; June 7, 2027; July 12, 2027; August 2, 2027.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range: $81,370.00 - $133,810.00 per year (pay may vary based on job level, market location, experience, and other factors).
