Program Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level engineers for a 12–18 month Engineering Rotational Development Program (ERDP) — Product Development Track. This program gives early-career engineers hands-on rotations across product design, simulation & performance analysis, test & validation, controls and embedded software, electronics, engineering analytics, and process engineering. You’ll work on real projects, receive mentorship, and rotate across teams to accelerate technical development and career growth.


What You’ll Do

  • Participate in 3–4 rotational assignments (12–18 months total) matched to your skills and career goals.
  • Design product components and systems; collaborate across manufacturing, procurement, and production teams.
  • Perform simulation and performance analysis (CFD, FEA, 3D modeling) to optimize system and component performance.
  • Execute test and validation work in hands-on lab or field environments; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Develop control algorithms using Matlab/Simulink; implement and test control features before production rollout.
  • Design and test electronic control modules and PCBs; perform digital/analog/power circuit analysis.
  • Write and validate embedded software in C, C#, and/or C++; create automation scripts in Python or Visual Basic.
  • Verify software and system features using HIL and SIL platforms; report and help resolve anomalies.
  • Apply data analytics and machine learning concepts to engineering datasets and experiments.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives using manufacturing and systems engineering principles.

Qualifications (Required)

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (must be completed prior to start) in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Agricultural, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 (no rounding).
  • 12 months or less of professional work experience (internships/co-ops excluded).
  • Able and willing to relocate and travel as needed.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; experience collaborating in diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and rapidly learn new tools and domains.
  • This role is in-person Monday–Friday; candidates must be available to work on-site.

Preferred / Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink, Python, C/C++, or embedded systems.
  • Exposure to CFD (ANSYS), FEA, 3D CAD, HIL/SIL, or test/validation benches.
  • Participation in campus design/competition teams or technical leadership roles.
  • Previous technical internship, co-op, or hands-on engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with PCB design, digital/analog circuit testing, and FMEAs.
  • Interest in machine learning, data analytics, or engineering statistics.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range (provided by Confidential Client): $81,370.00 – $133,810.00 per year. This range may vary by location and individual factors.

Logistics & Additional Information

  • Locations: Applicants will be considered for roles throughout the United States. Most positions are based in Peoria / Robein, IL area with limited availability elsewhere.
  • Start dates (2027): February 1, June 7, July 12, or August 2 — seats are limited per start date.
  • Work arrangement: Monday–Friday, in-person (onsite five days a week).
  • Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
