Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Engineering Manager to drive technical leadership, innovation, and scalable manufacturing solutions in their Product Supply and Engineering organization. This role focuses on advanced automation, process development, mechanical design, and cross-functional technical leadership. The position includes hands-on technical work, project leadership, and capability building across technical centers and advanced manufacturing sites.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engineering projects that deliver automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions to improve production performance and product quality.
- Drive mechanical design and prototyping for new production equipment and conveyance systems, using CAD and CAE tools.
- Translate R&D innovations into scalable manufacturing processes: packaging validation, supplier qualification, process optimization, and technical specifications.
- Architect and implement precision instrumentation, metrology systems, and data-driven control improvements.
- Lead robotics and machine integration projects (concept, design, integration, commissioning).
- Build technical capability and mentor engineers and technicians to adopt advanced digital and automation solutions.
- Ensure HS&E and quality standards are embedded in project execution and equipment design.
- Manage stakeholder communications across operators, engineering groups, procurement, and senior leadership.
- Plan and deliver projects on schedule and budget while adapting to changing scope and technical requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Science, Packaging Science, Environmental, Civil, or similar).
- 0–5 years relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, research experience or academic projects).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and technical curiosity; ability to drive root-cause analysis and data-driven decisions.
- Project mindset — demonstrated ability or strong desire to lead technical projects with ownership of timelines and deliverables.
- Clear communicator with ability to collaborate across functions and at multiple organizational levels.
- Comfortable with mobility and relocation as part of long-term career development; willingness to travel 10–25% as required.
Preferred
- Practical experience with industrial PLCs (Rockwell), process/machine control, sensors, motors, and industrial networks.
- Exposure to robotics, machine vision, or programming (Python, LabVIEW, Java, C#).
- Hands-on mechanical systems engineering experience (3D CAD, CAE, mechatronics, machine design).
- Experience in R&D, advanced manufacturing, or technical centers.
- Prior work with packaging materials/processes, metrology, or precision instrumentation.

Compensation & Logistics
- Employment type: Full time
- Starting pay / salary range (reported): $85,000 - $122,200 / year
- Travel: ~10–25% (business needs)
- Mobility: Candidates should be open to relocation as career development and business needs arise.
