What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Engineering Manager (entry-level to early career) to lead engineering projects that advance manufacturing, packaging, controls, and robotics capabilities. In this hands-on leadership role you will guide technical teams, deliver complex projects, and help scale digital and mechanical solutions across Product Supply and manufacturing sites.

  • Lead engineering projects across Intelligent Controls & Automation, Mechanical Design & Development, Packaging/Converting, Instrumentation & Metrology, Robotics, and Environmental/Civil scopes
  • Drive design, development, and deployment of PLC-based control systems (Rockwell), sensors, drives, and industrial networks
  • Manage mechanical design, prototyping and CAE activities; apply 3D CAD to develop robust machine and packaging solutions
  • Architect and implement robotics and machine vision solutions for high-speed production tasks
  • Lead packaging material validation, supplier qualification, and line optimization efforts
  • Build digital landscapes for production equipment, leverage data analytics and AI/ML where applicable to improve control performance
  • Own project schedules, budgets, technical deliverables and ensure HS&E / Quality compliance
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability-building programs and formal training
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and procurement stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

Candidates at the entry or early-career level (0–5 years relevant experience) who demonstrate technical curiosity, strong problem-solving, and a project mindset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Science, Packaging Science, Environmental, Civil, etc.)
  • Relevant hands-on experience via internships, co-ops, academic work, or early-career roles (0–5 years)
  • Proven exposure to industrial PLCs (Rockwell preferred), machine/process control, sensors, motors, or industrial networking
  • Mechanical systems experience: 3D CAD, machine design, prototyping, CAE fundamentals
  • Experience or familiarity with robotics, machine vision, and programming (Python, LabVIEW, Java, C# desirable)
  • Knowledge of packaging processes, material validation, or precision metrology a strong plus
  • Strong analytical abilities, root-cause problem solving and data-driven decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Agility to adapt to changing project scope and priorities; willingness to consider relocation throughout career
  • Ability to travel ~10–25% as required

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Direct experience with Industry 4.0 initiatives, digital twin, or control system analytics
  • Prior work in high-speed packaging, converting, or manufacturing automation
  • Supplier management and qualification experience
  • Experience developing or integrating AI/ML for control or predictive maintenance
