What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Designer you will join project teams to support planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure projects. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assist with development of engineering designs, construction plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
- Perform engineering calculations, evaluate alternatives, and help prepare technical recommendations
- Contribute to planning documents, engineering reports, technical memoranda, and project correspondence
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, clients, and agencies on multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in data collection, site visits, construction observation, inspections, and other field activities as needed
- Support construction documentation, contract administration, record drawings, and project closeout tasks
- Pursue professional development through mentoring, training, and participation in industry or community organizations
What We’re Looking For
We are primarily seeking recent graduates and early-career engineers who are motivated to learn and grow. Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related engineering field
- Engineering Intern (EI) certification, or the ability to obtain EI certification within six months of employment
- 0–4 years of engineering, design, construction, internship, or related experience
- Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and design/construction practices
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technical tools and methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
- Willingness to travel and perform field work when project needs require
- Positive attitude and alignment with an employee-owned organizational culture

Compensation & Schedule
- Base salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year
- Employment type: Regular, Full-Time
