Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Engineering Analyst to support nuclear plant operations in Yorkville, IL. This entry-level to early-career technical role performs engineering and technical tasks under supervision, ensuring engineering products meet industry codes, safety analyses, and regulatory requirements.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Assure all engineering products are consistent with safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform assigned engineering and technical tasks supporting nuclear plant operations.
  • Support nuclear engineering work functions, including data collection, basic analyses, and documentation.
  • Participate in process improvements and implement approved engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Provide departmental support during outages, emergency response, and as-directed operational coverage.
  • Complete other assignments as directed by management in accordance with company policy.

What You’ll Bring (Minimum Qualifications)

This position can be filled at the Associate / Entry level. Minimum qualifications by level:

Associate Engineering Analyst (E01)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (non-engineer), OR
  • Associate’s degree in a technical field plus a minimum of 1 year of nuclear or related industry experience, OR
  • High school diploma/GED plus a minimum of 2 years of nuclear experience.
  • Ability to meet and maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, and pass required medical examinations or testing as applicable.

Preferred skills (strongly desirable but not required):

  • Familiarity with basic engineering documentation and industry codes.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and written/verbal communication.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment and follow established procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $61,955 per year (estimated).
  • Posted expected salary for Entry Level: $76,000 per year.
