What You’ll Do
This entry-level Transportation Engineer will support project teams delivering transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients. You'll work under the supervision of a licensed engineer and contribute to planning, design, and documentation across roadway and related infrastructure projects.
- Support development of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)
- Produce quality 3D models and design deliverables for construction use
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on transportation design tasks
- Assist with feasibility studies, technical reports, and field coordination
- Complete assigned components of projects on schedule and to quality standards
- Participate in internal reviews and incorporate feedback from licensed engineers
Qualifications
We’re looking for a candidate who can contribute immediately and learn quickly on the job.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with MicroStation and PowerGeoPAK SS4/OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
- Able to create and interpret 3D models for design and construction
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to pass a background check
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Target salary range: $65,000 — $91,000 (range depends on experience, skills, and location)
