What You’ll Do
This entry-level engineering or physics role focuses on Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) work. You will contribute to research, modelling, prototyping, testing, and analysis across PNT projects that support national-scale systems (e.g., GNSS/GPS, atomic clocks, inertial systems).
- Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of navigation system performance
- Prototype waveforms and algorithms in software-defined radios (SDRs)
- Test and evaluate PNT hardware and systems in lab and field environments
- Analyze experimental data and produce technical reports and presentations
- Support one or more project teams and contribute to design reviews and technical discussions
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Currently pursuing or recently received a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or other modeling and data-analysis tools
- Strong fundamentals in areas related to PNT such as detection/estimation theory, modulation/waveform design, error-control coding, stochastic processes, propagation and channel estimation, receiver design, interference cancellation, algorithm development, or guidance/navigation/control (GNC)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required to be considered for the security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in a relevant technical discipline (EE, CE, CS, Systems, Aerospace, Math, Physics)
- Experience with laboratory testing, field experimentation, and SDR programming (e.g., GNURadio, C/C++)
- Familiarity with software development workflows and tools such as Git and Docker
- Experience preparing technical reports, presentations, and reproducible code
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is a plus

Compensation
- Salary range: $89,200 — $133,800 per year (midpoint: $111,500). Actual pay will depend on experience, education, and other job-related factors.
