What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Engineer of Radiological Work to support equipment, processes, and systems that manage spent naval nuclear fuel at a facility in Idaho Falls, ID. This is an early-career engineering role with hands-on work, technical documentation, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Support preparation, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fuel-handling and examination systems
- Assist in development and revision of engineering processes, procedures, and work instructions
- Produce technical reports, engineering drawings, and clear procedural documentation
- Participate in inspections, commissioning activities, and system performance testing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, nuclear, operations, and safety)
- Use Microsoft Office tools for analysis, presentations, and documentation
- Follow site radiological, nuclear safety, and regulatory procedures; participate in safety briefings and trainings
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical, engineering, or science field from an accredited college or university; OR
- Master’s degree in a related technical, engineering, or science field from an accredited college or university
- Entry-level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training will be provided
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering preferred
- 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate and/or graduate coursework preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Interest in nuclear systems, process engineering, or fuel handling systems
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,900 - $97,800 per year (paid based on experience and qualifications)
