Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Engineer, Mechanical in Coatesville, PA. This position supports nuclear plant operations by providing engineering analysis, technical problem solving, and task management across mechanical systems. The role is open at Entry, Mid, and Senior levels — please review the level-specific minimum qualifications below.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth mechanical engineering expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues through technical consultation and hands-on involvement.
- Manage engineering tasks from scoping through design, review, and close-out, ensuring configuration control and compliance with design criteria.
- Prepare and review plans, specifications, and technical documentation using applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
- Conduct independent research, studies, and analyses to support projects and continuous improvement.
- Recommend equipment, materials, or process changes to improve performance, reduce cost, or address design deficiencies.
- Support operational needs including emergency response, outage activities, departmental coverage, and after-hours callouts as required.
Minimum Qualifications
NOTE: This role may be hired at one of three levels. Minimum qualifications differ by level.
Entry-Level (E01)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements and pass medical/fitness screening as required.
Mid-Level (E02)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Approximately 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements and pass medical/fitness screening as required.
Senior (E03)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Approximately 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements and pass medical/fitness screening as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Nuclear Modification Design Process.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Advanced technical degree or related graduate coursework.
- Demonstrated experience with plant equipment, code compliance, and configuration management.
Compensation & Total Rewards
- Expected salary ranges (annual, based on level and experience):
- Entry-Level: $87,000
- Mid-Level: $92,700 – $114,000
- Senior Level: $122,400 – $154,000

Work Location & Additional Requirements
- Work location: Coatesville, PA (on-site at the confidential client’s facility).
- This position supports nuclear operations and requires candidates to meet and maintain any site-specific access, unescorted access, and medical/fitness requirements.
- Candidates should be prepared for occasional emergency response duties and outage support, which may require flexible scheduling.
