What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Engineer II (mechanical / systems integration) to support aircraft systems design and integration. In this role you will work on defined project tasks under direction, contribute CAD models and analyses, support integration and testing, and document technical work for internal engineering teams.

• Apply engineering fundamentals to design, analyze, investigate and resolve routine engineering problems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate and validate avionics and mission-system interfaces across the air vehicle.
• Use 3D CAD tools (conceptual and detail design) for secondary structures and system component layouts.
• Perform stress and modal analyses, run simulations, and validate designs against performance and regulatory requirements.
• Build prototypes, support testing and iteration, and assist in transition of designs to production.
• Assist with aircraft integration, test planning and on-site validation at Flight Operations facilities.
• Document results, prepare reports and presentations, and participate in design reviews.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent engineering experience.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience (with a bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience.
• Aptitude with 3D CAD software such as Pro/E (CREO), SolidWorks, or Siemens NX.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong documentation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
• Willingness to work extended hours when required.

Preferred / Helpful Skills

• Experience with stress and modal analysis for aerospace structures.
• Prior exposure to aircraft systems integration, avionics, or unmanned aircraft hardware.
• Familiarity with prototype fabrication, test execution, and production transition processes.

• Location: Poway, CA (on-site with telecommute/remote flexibility as defined by the client)
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Applicant requirement: Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance and to work in the United States.

Compensation

• Estimated annual compensation (from source posting): $116,558 (estimated). Exact pay, benefits and final offer details will be provided by the Confidential Client and may vary based on experience and location.
