What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Engineer II to support engineering activities for ground modification systems. This is an entry-level engineering role (0–2 years) that works under general supervision to analyze, investigate, test, and document routine engineering problems and solutions for small projects or phases of larger projects.
- Apply basic engineering principles to analyze, investigate, and resolve assigned technical problems.
- Perform functional testing of equipment and systems using engineering and scientific methods.
- Obtain, process, and analyze test data; document findings and implemented solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal project staff as needed.
- Provide direction to design staff or technicians on limited-scope tasks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality for sensitive information and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and security procedures.
- Support systems integration and test activities and contribute to configuration documentation.
- Work safely and follow applicable operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Typically 0–2 years of engineering experience (Entry-Level).
- Fundamental understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply standard techniques accurately.
- Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills to produce documentation and present results to internal audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team; flexible to work extended hours as needed.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required for this role.
Desired / Preferred Experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate is desirable.
- Systems Integration and Test experience.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering and JIRA familiarity.
- Experience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
- Experience presenting technical data and project status to customer organizations.
Location, Workstyle & Travel
- Worksite: Redstone Arsenal, AL (Huntsville area). This role is listed for Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
- Workstyle: Hybrid.
- Travel: Up to 0–25% as required.
- Clearance: Secret-level clearance desired; ability to obtain DoD clearance required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Compensation
- Salary range (provided by source): $68,770 — $116,193 per year (USD). Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, and qualifications and will be reviewed during the selection process.
