What You’ll Do

  • Apply technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Perform functional testing and troubleshoot equipment and systems using standard engineering and scientific principles.
  • Obtain, evaluate and interpret test data; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop clear documentation of findings, test procedures, and implemented solutions.
  • Prepare and present brief technical summaries or presentations as needed.
  • Provide direction or guidance to design and technician staff when assigned.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and production objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution, plus typically 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience (may substitute equivalent experience for education).
  • Demonstrated understanding of core engineering concepts, principles, and practices with applied technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with functional testing, troubleshooting, data collection and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet established timelines in a changing environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certificate is desirable.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this role.

Compensation & Work Type

  • Pay range: $68,770 — $116,193 per year.
  • Estimated midpoint/representative pay: ~$94,437 per year (estimated).
  • Employment type: Full-Time.
  • Travel: 0%–25% depending on assignment.
  • Work location: Poway, CA (onsite). The posting also referenced telecommute eligibility — confirm remote/telework details during the interview process.
