What You’ll Do
This entry-level Engineer I role supports engineering staff in analyzing, investigating, and resolving routine engineering problems of limited scope for a Confidential Client. Typical responsibilities include:
- Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve assigned routine engineering problems.
- Performs functional testing of equipment and systems using standard engineering and scientific principles.
- Obtains, processes, and analyzes test data; documents findings and implemented solutions.
- Develops clear technical documentation and communicates results to project engineering staff; may present findings internally.
- May provide direction to design staff or technicians on specific tasks.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information and follows safety and regulatory procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent engineering experience.
- Basic understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory.
- Demonstrated ability to apply standard engineering techniques, use required diagnostics/tools, and follow established procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear documentation and present to small internal audiences.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively; may work extended hours as required.
- Entry-level experience (0–2 years). EIT (Engineer in Training) certificate is desirable.
- U.S. Citizenship required for this position.
Compensation & Location
- Location: San Diego, CA (role listed as remote/telecommute with possible onsite activities in San Diego, CA).
- Employment type: Full-Time
- Salary range (California pay transparency): $62,510 — $105,628 per year.
- Travel: 0% – 25%
