What You’ll Do
This role will be filled at the appropriate level (Engineer I, II, III or Principal) based on experience. You will work on utility engineering projects—often under supervision at junior levels and with increasing autonomy at higher levels. Typical responsibilities include:
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and suggests improved methods
- Gathers, correlates, and analyzes data using established procedures
- Performs engineering assignments involving calculations, tests, and analysis
- Completes routine tasks to learn company engineering methods, practices, and programs
- Supports operations and maintenance with problem identification, engineering analysis, and resolution activities
- Prepares and presents reports summarizing engineering activities and conclusions
- Assists other engineers on larger projects as needed
- Helps develop goals, objectives, budgets, programs, and procedures
- Plans and controls activities to promote a safe, accident-free workplace
- Performs work in compliance with environmental rules and regulations
- Reviews assignments regularly to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness
- May occasionally direct co-ops, supervisors, or others during specific activities
- Performs other duties as assigned, consistent with company policies and standards
Qualifications
Required:
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
- Ability to analyze and solve engineering problems from a business perspective
- Substation experience or other utility-related field experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings
- Ability to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
Work Location & Schedule
- Employment type: Full-time.
- The Confidential Client may assign this position on-site, remote, or hybrid. Assigned work location may change based on business needs.
- For remote assignments, occasional in-office or on-site presence may be required for coordination, meetings, or field work.
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.; some remote positions may require residing in the U.S. due to compliance and coordination needs.
Compensation
- Estimated salary (for benchmarking): $81,088 per year — estimated. Actual pay will vary by level (I, II, III, Principal), location, and candidate experience.
- Benefits and total compensation details will be provided by the Confidential Client during the interview process.
