What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Engineer I (EPC) to join their engineering team in Anaheim Hills, CA. In this role you’ll support technical design and coordination for electrical systems — including photovoltaic (PV), distributed generation (DG), battery energy storage systems (BESS), and medium-voltage systems — while learning from senior engineers and project leads.

• Oversee or collaborate with Designers assigned to your work or team
• Review, comment on, and process equipment and system submittals
• Coordinate design and field work across civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, operations, and electrical trades
• Prepare and check power, lighting, and auxiliary system designs for PV, DG, BESS, and MV systems
• Develop power single-line diagrams and perform short-circuit and overcurrent protection coordination studies
• Assist with feeder schedules, cable-loss calculations, and energy production modeling under supervision
• Coordinate work with project specifications and equipment manufacturers
• Visit job sites to field-survey existing electrical conditions (under supervision)
• Use engineering analysis programs to analyze loads, lighting levels, short-circuit currents (under supervision)
• Participate in project team meetings and interface with architects, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines
• Support drawing interpretation, resolve conflicts, and assist with plan/spec reviews and construction design updates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, construction sciences, or equivalent experience
• Actively working toward Engineering in Training (EIT) / NCEES is preferred
• Combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Skills & Tools

• Familiarity or willingness to learn: SKM, E-Tap (short-circuit/coordination/arc-flash tools)
• AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Map3D, Autodesk Civil3D, PVsyst, PVcase, Google Earth
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Illuminance/lighting analysis tools
• Basic field survey and construction observation skills

Travel & Working Conditions

• Travel: Up to 10% (does not include local field visits)
• Work environment: primarily office-based with periodic site visits; may include standing, walking, typing, lifting up to ~30 lbs.
• Some jobsite noise and variable conditions; Confidential Client complies with the ADA and will consider reasonable accommodations

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $75,000 — $98,400 per year (range reflects expected pay for candidates meeting listed qualifications; actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other lawful factors)
