Overview
A confidential client in the Energy, Oil & Gas industry is hiring an Engineer, Electrical to support nuclear plant operations in Edgewood, MD. This opening can be filled at Entry (E01), Mid (E02) or Senior (E03) levels. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to engineering analyses, problem resolution, and compliance with industry codes and nuclear access requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs for nuclear plant systems.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and system problems with practical, code-compliant solutions.
- Manage engineering tasks from scoping through close-out, ensuring configuration control and documentation accuracy.
- Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses to support technical projects and plant reliability.
- Recommend equipment, design changes, or novel techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, or address regulatory changes.
- Support emergency response, outage activities, and departmental coverage as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Entry Level (E01)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear).
- Ability to meet minimum site access or unescorted access requirements and pass required medical exams/testing.
Mid Level (E02)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) plus 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to meet site access/unescorted access requirements and pass required medical exams/testing.
Senior Level (E03)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) plus 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to meet site access/unescorted access requirements and pass required medical exams/testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Advanced technical degree or relevant graduate coursework.
- Previous reliability engineering, design, or nuclear plant engineering experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary range (varies by level):
- Entry-Level — $87,000 per year
- Mid-Level — $92,700 to $114,000 per year
- Senior — $122,400 to $154,000 per year
- Additional estimated midpoint: $129,803 per year (estimate).

Location & Requirements
- Job location: Edgewood, MD (on-site nuclear plant responsibilities).
- Must be able to meet and maintain site-specific access, unescorted access, and medical/fitness-for-duty requirements.
- May require participation in outages, emergency response, and occasional off-hours support.
