Engineer, Electrical Design/I&C

Primary Purpose
Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under direct supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations at our confidential client's Edisonville, PA site. This role is available at Entry (E01), Mid (E02), and Senior (E03) engineering levels.
What You’ll Do
- Assure engineering deliverables meet safety analyses, applicable industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform assigned engineering and technical tasks supporting plant systems, with an emphasis on electrical and Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) components.
- Support engineering work functions and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Address obsolescence and component replacement decisions for electrical and digital systems.
- Prepare engineering calculations, evaluations, and design documentation that establish or confirm design bases.
- Interface with internal stakeholders and external engineering service providers to develop and review proposals and estimates.
- Participate in plant support activities as assigned (emergency response, outage support, department coverage).
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Entry Level (E01)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements (including unescorted access) and favorable medical/exam/testing as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level (E02)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (as above) plus ~2 years nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements and favorable medical/exam/testing as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior (E03)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (as above) plus ~5 years nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements and favorable medical/exam/testing as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience designing electrical and I&C components (breakers, cables, transmitters, motors, transformers, switches, relays, PLCs, and control systems).
- Proven ability to evaluate and resolve obsolescence (selecting appropriate replacements and digital solutions).
- Strong engineering calculation and evaluation skills to establish or confirm component design bases.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and interfacing with stakeholders.
- Experience developing/reviewing proposals and estimates from engineering service providers.
Compensation & Total Rewards
Expected salary ranges (level-dependent):
- Entry-Level (E01): $87,000 (estimated)
- Mid-Level (E02): $92,700 – $114,000 (estimated)
- Senior (E03): $122,400 – $154,000 (estimated)
