What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level engineering role supporting nuclear plant operations. You will perform engineering and technical tasks under direct supervision to help ensure safe, compliant, and reliable plant performance.

  • Assure engineering products meet applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements (including ANSI/ANS-3.1 where applicable).
  • Perform assigned engineering analyses, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
  • Support engineering work functions and technical programs in daily operations and during outages.
  • Assist with engineering reviews, corrective actions, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Participate in department coverage, emergency response duties, and other assignments as directed to support safe plant operation.

Primary Duties & Accountabilities

  • Execute engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support cross-functional teams during outages and operational events.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established quality and safety processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear).
  • Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants."
  • Ability to maintain minimum/unescorted access requirements and pass required medical examinations/testing for the role.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Ability to be on-site full time.
  • Live within approximately 1 hour of the facility (preferred for timely on-call/shift coverage).

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Reported/estimated pay: Adzuna estimate $85,313 per year. Posting also lists Entry Level base of $87,000 (final pay depends on experience).

Location & Worksite

  • Job location: Crest Hill, IL (on-site position).

  • Candidates should be able to meet site access, clearance, and medical requirements.
