Role Overview
The confidential client is hiring an Engineer (Engineering Data Analysis) to support civil and land-development projects in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is an early-career/staff-level engineering role focused on producing drawings, plans, specifications, and technical reports, supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers, and coordinating project tasks across internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Perform entry-level and routine engineering tasks to support project delivery
- Prepare plans, specifications, and engineering reports as directed by Project Engineers/Managers
- Assist with utility research, material take-offs, plan production, and related design documentation
- Produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphics in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coordinate assignments and deadlines with internal teams, consultants, and clients
- Work on multiple concurrent projects while meeting quality and schedule expectations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Approximately 1+ years of civil engineering design experience (entry-level/staff engineer)
- Demonstrated ability to create drawings and deliverables in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple parallel tasks
- Right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in land development projects (site design, grading, utility coordination)
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and public agency submittals
- Experience with material take-offs, quantity estimates, or plan production workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills & Tools
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Civil engineering fundamentals (site grading, utilities, plan production)
- MS Office (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting
- Basic GIS / mapping skills are a plus
Compensation & Location
- Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
- Estimated base pay: $76,074 per year (estimated; provided by source)
