What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is hiring an entry- to mid-level TFS Station Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for transmission substations and high-voltage equipment. You will support safe, reliable operation of transmission assets by assisting with installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, modernization, emergency restoration, and project execution.

  • Provide on-site technical support for substation equipment and systems
  • Assist field crews with troubleshooting equipment failures and abnormal conditions
  • Support commissioning, testing, and project closeout activities
  • Help maintain accurate station documentation, equipment configuration, and regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to outage support, emergency restoration, and mobile transformer/skid installations

Responsibilities

  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs and evaluate equipment deficiencies
  • Participate in project scoping, design reviews, site walkdowns, and commissioning tests
  • Perform basic failure investigations and root-cause analysis with guidance
  • Prepare and review routine technical documentation and test reports
  • Recommend practical, safe, and maintainable engineering solutions
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Protection & Control, Operations, Project Management, contractors, and field personnel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred (entry-level/new graduates welcome)
  • Passing or preparing for the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam is encouraged
  • Basic understanding of transmission substation equipment, standards, codes, and safety practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to follow guidance from senior engineers
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to work collaboratively with field crews and multi-discipline teams
  • Willingness to perform field work, occasional lifting, and to participate in emergency/after-hours response as needed

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation varies by grade and experience. Range examples posted by the Confidential Client:

  • Engineer / Engineer Technologist Associate: $74,551 - $93,188 per year
  • Engineer / Engineer Technologist: $87,633 - $109,542 per year
  • Engineer / Engineer Technologist Sr: $98,993 - $128,688 per year

Location & Work Type

This position is based in Meers, OK. This role requires field and on-site work at transmission substations and may include travel within the region to support projects and outage response. Employment type: FULL_TIME.
