Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an End User Support Specialist 1 to deliver high-quality desktop and end-user technical support at their Sharonville, OH location. This is an entry- to early-level IT support role focused on troubleshooting, system configuration, routine maintenance, and user training while following privacy and security policies.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide first-line support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues via phone, chat, and ticketing systems.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, standard software, and peripherals following company procedures.
  • Perform regular operating system updates, patching, and basic maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with data backup activities and help protect against data loss.
  • Work with vendors to resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Track, update, and close help-desk tickets; follow up with users to confirm resolution.
  • Provide user training and guidance on printers, email programs, and common business applications.
  • Support overflow work for other teams as needed and meet quality assurance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent foundational desktop support knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and peripheral devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with users, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and perform tasks that may require extended periods of sitting, using a keyboard/mouse, and viewing a computer screen.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Experience in desktop/help-desk/end-user technical support.
  • Familiarity with ticketing/help-desk systems and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience supporting printers, email applications, and mobile devices.
  • Basic networking knowledge (routing, switching, wireless, and network security).
  • Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Technician (CCT).
