What You’ll Do
This on-site, plant-facing role supports end-of-line (EOL) production testing and NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) corrective action development. You’ll analyze EOL test and production measurement data to identify trends, contain quality issues, and create interim and permanent solution sets for complex NVH challenges.
- Develop data-driven interim and permanent corrective action solution sets for NVH issues based on EOL trends, statistical analysis, and cross-functional inputs.
- Monitor daily EOL test results and production reports to detect statistically significant trends, recurring failure modes, and population shifts.
- Translate analysis into practical containment actions, test adjustments, screening logic, and longer-term corrective action plans.
- Use Microsoft Excel and Minitab to run trend analyses, control charts, capability studies, regression, and pass/fail performance reviews.
- Support dashboarding, Excel trackers, Minitab studies, and visualization tools to communicate EOL performance to plant stakeholders.
- Assist with EOL limit setting and validation by reviewing population statistics, control chart behavior, false-fail risk, and pass/fail margins.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, calibration, validation, and operations to validate measurement outputs and interpret EOL results.
- Provide timely analysis during launches, production ramps, quality events, audits, and issue resolution.
- Document analysis methods, reporting processes, lessons learned, and standard work for repeatable EOL reviews.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology, data analytics, manufacturing technology, statistics, computer science, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with manufacturing data, test data, quality data, or production reporting systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charting, conditional formatting, and repeatable report creation.
- Experience or coursework using Minitab (control charts, capability analysis, distribution tests, hypothesis testing, regression).
- Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret technical data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Basic familiarity with databases, data extraction, and structured reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, on-site plant environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to plants as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, statistics, or computer science.
- Internship, co-op, or project experience analyzing manufacturing, test, quality, or signal data using Excel, Minitab, MATLAB, or similar.
- Exposure to Minitab tools: control charts, capability analysis, normality testing, regression, ANOVA, Gage R&R.
- Knowledge of measurement systems, data acquisition, signal processing, or production test stand outputs (Bauer familiarity is a plus).
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems, EOL test software, or plant data architecture.
- Experience supporting root-cause investigations, corrective action, and continuous improvement activities.
