Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Employment Specialist I to join its Workforce Access Center (WAC) team in South San Francisco, CA. This role delivers direct employment services to underserved residents, manages a caseload, supports workshop facilitation, and builds foundational expertise across multiple career pathways (Healthcare, Construction, Security). This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Program Director - WAC.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a caseload of 60–100 participants annually (primarily RRL and Restorative program participants) and provide one-on-one employment support under supervision.
- Conduct participant intake, basic assessments, and help develop individualized employment plans.
- Deliver job search assistance, resume writing support, and interview preparation coaching.
- Co-facilitate job readiness workshops and support outreach, enrollment, and follow-up communications.
- Connect participants to referrals, supportive services, training providers, and career pathway resources.
- Maintain timely, accurate case records and documentation in required systems.
- Provide follow-up and retention support to help participants sustain employment.
- Assist with employer engagement activities, job fairs, and community events.
- Learn and consistently use required platforms: Workforce Central (WFC), Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and approved AI productivity tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, Claude, ChatGPT) as directed.
- Participate in required trainings, team meetings, and compliance activities; demonstrate continuous professional development.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; 0–2 years of equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in workforce development, employment coaching, social services, case management, recruiting, or community-based services preferred.
- Basic awareness of multiple career pathways and a strong willingness to build industry knowledge.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; willingness to learn Salesforce, Workforce Central, and AI productivity tools required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build trust with underserved community members.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive service delivery.
- Bilingual/bicultural capacity (Spanish or other threshold languages) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $70,304–$72,384 annually.
