About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an Employment Program Manager (working supervisor) to provide hands-on, community-based Individual Supported Employment services in Harrisonburg, VA and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley. This is a part-time position with a clear pathway to full-time as regional caseloads grow. The role combines direct client work (job development, job coaching, employer engagement) with supervisory responsibilities for Employment Specialists.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure employment services follow Individualized Plans for Employment, service authorizations, funding rules, and organizational policies.
- Deliver and monitor direct, in-person supported-employment services in community and workplace settings.
- Maintain an active caseload and meet billable-service expectations for the approved schedule.
- Perform job development, employer outreach, onboarding support, on‑site job coaching, and employment-retention assistance.
- Observe and coach Employment Specialists in the field; provide regular supervision, feedback, and performance documentation.
- Assign and balance caseloads, monitor staff productivity and documentation quality, and provide coverage for absences or service gaps.
- Review and complete progress notes and required documentation so records remain audit-ready and compliant with HIPAA and funding requirements.
- Track measurable employment outcomes (referrals, interviews, placements, retention) and implement strategies for cases not progressing.
- Support onboarding, field training, and mentoring of new staff; promote person-centered, competitive, integrated employment.
- Represent Confidential Client professionally with individuals, families, employers, referral partners, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, business, or related field plus at least three years’ relevant experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, disability services, workforce development, or similar; OR
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least seven years’ relevant experience in supported employment, vocational services, disability services, workforce development, or related human services programs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided per organizational policy.
- Strong documentation, compliance, and time-management skills; ability to use electronic records, scheduling systems, email, and videoconferencing tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff is preferred.
- Ability to pass background checks, driving-record reviews, and employment verifications.
Additional Requirements & Work Conditions
- Regular travel throughout Harrisonburg and surrounding communities (Rockingham County, Augusta County, Staunton, Waynesboro, Bridgewater, and nearby areas as needed).
- May transport clients when required (must be willing and able).
- Flexible schedule based on client needs; may include early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.
- Role is community-based and cannot be routinely performed remotely — frequent standing, walking, on-site observation, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $23.00–$24.00 per hour.
- Employment type: Part-time initially, with opportunity to transition to full-time based on caseload growth and program needs. Full-time expectations (if/when applicable): minimum ~30 billable hours/week through direct Individual Supported Employment services.
