Position summary

Confidential Client is hiring an Employer Partnerships Specialist (Work Experience) to build and maintain employer relationships, validate worksites, orient supervisors, and match youth participants to short-term work experiences. This hybrid role is based in Newburgh Heights, OH and supports youth workforce programs focused on placement and employer engagement.


What You’ll Do

  • Nurture and support existing employer and community partnerships to expand work experience opportunities for program participants.
  • Recruit new employers in in-demand career fields and develop meaningful short-term placements.
  • Conduct employer registration, worksite validation, and regular site visits to ensure safe, meaningful experiences.
  • Coordinate and track worksite agreements, ensuring timely supervisor signatures and compliance documentation.
  • Lead and present engaging worksite supervisor orientation sessions.
  • Match participants to available work experiences and manage reassignment requests quickly and accurately.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and oversight to seasonal Employer Partnerships Coordinators; observe productivity and offer constructive feedback.
  • Review supervisor satisfaction data, identify themes, and propose process improvements to boost partner satisfaction.
  • Assist other program teams with internships, direct hires, and educational placements as needed; document all communications.
  • Support career fairs, resume workshops, and employer-facing events.
  • Handle escalated employer issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Maintain accurate participant and employer records in CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred or ability to learn).
  • Other duties as assigned to support program outcomes.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, Social Work or related field preferred. An additional 4 years of qualifying experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • 1–3 years experience in sales prospecting, recruiting, employer outreach, or related employer-engagement activities.
  • 1–3 years experience working with at-risk youth or young adults as a coach, mentor, teacher, or counselor.
  • Experience training and leading small teams or groups.
  • Familiarity with recruiting techniques and workforce development best practices.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and standard office software (Microsoft Office).
  • Valid transportation to visit offices, worksites, and community partners; ability to travel to worksites up to 50% of the time.
  • Must pass required background checks (BCI/FBI) as a condition of employment.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Hybrid schedule: in-office 2–3 days/week, remote 2–3 days/week; Wednesday in-office is required.
  • Up to 50% travel to offsite locations for meetings, programs, and events.
  • Fast-paced environment with extended computer use, intermittent lifting up to 25 lbs, standing/walking, and frequent social interaction with partners and participants.
  • Remote work requires a professional, secure, and reasonably distraction-free workspace supporting confidentiality and meeting participation.
