What You’ll Do
This entry-level consulting role supports Confidential Client’s employee benefits practice by turning medical and pharmacy claims data into clear, actionable insights for clients. You will work with experienced consultants and benefit teams to help clients understand what’s driving their healthcare costs and identify opportunities to improve plan performance.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting that helps clients monitor healthcare cost and utilization trends
- Analyze medical and pharmacy claims data to identify cost drivers, utilization patterns, outliers, and opportunities for savings
- Prepare clear, client-ready deliverables (reports, charts, slide decks) that translate analysis into recommended next steps
- Coordinate annual processes related to health plan renewal and budgeting with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with internal Benefit Consultants to answer client questions and support plan design decisions
- Assist teammates on project work to meet deadlines during peak periods
- Build subject-matter expertise in health insurance and pursue industry certifications over time
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (analytical, consulting, healthcare, or finance roles preferred)
- Strong comfort with quantitative analysis and using data to support recommendations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business intelligence tools or basic programming (e.g., SQL, Python, R) is a plus
- Clear oral and written communication skills and a client-service mindset
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach
- Demonstrated ability to organize work and manage competing priorities
