What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Employee Benefits Account Specialist to support Account Management, Sales, and Underwriting teams. Typical responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate client files and internal systems per standard protocols (e.g., BenefitPoint, Oracle).
- Support pre‑renewal, renewal, post‑renewal and wellness activities.
- Gather and coordinate data for analytical and compliance reporting.
- Prepare standard and ad‑hoc exhibits, reports and presentation materials.
- Complete assigned implementation tasks for client projects and track deliverables.
- Coordinate regulatory activities (e.g., Form 5500, ACA notices) and ensure timely filings.
- Assist with Open Enrollment communications and employee education materials.
- Interact with carriers, vendors and clients to resolve service or claim inquiries.
- Participate in client meetings and support the delivery of client-facing materials.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Competencies)
Required / core qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Entry-level role — no prior work experience required.
- State-specific Resident Life & Health license required within six months of hire.
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized.
- Comfortable with numbers and basic benefits/insurance concepts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word (Publisher helpful).
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to establish relationships with clients and vendors.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize under pressure, and work both independently and on a team.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn industry practices, regulatory requirements and the firm’s service offerings.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Transparency Range: $65,000 - $75,000 USD (base annual salary).
- Benefits include medical, dental and vision options; 401(k) with company match; company-paid life insurance; STD and LTD.
- Generous PTO: starting at 18 days per year plus 10 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays.
