Job overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level EMC Test Engineer to join an engineering team supporting advanced EV and automotive platforms. This is a hands-on lab role focused on emissions and immunity testing, test automation, troubleshooting, and supporting certification/compliance activities.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare vehicles, subsystems and test fixtures for EMC testing
  • Execute emissions and immunity tests per test plans and standards
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for test execution and data collection (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Operate lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies and function generators
  • Troubleshoot test failures and support root-cause analysis
  • Analyze test results and help validate corrective actions
  • Coordinate lab setup, instrumentation and testing activities with cross-functional teams
  • Support certification and regulatory compliance efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Hands-on laboratory experience using oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, function generator, etc.
  • Experience writing scripts for test automation or data collection (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a lab/vehicle test environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior EMC testing experience (emissions and/or immunity)
  • Familiarity with EV / automotive architectures
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle networks such as CAN, LIN or FlexRay
  • Soldering and basic hardware assembly skills
  • Familiarity with EMC concepts and relevant standards
