What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain embedded software in C and C++ for Linux-based and embedded systems.
  • Work across the full embedded stack: low-level hardware interaction, board- and system-level integration, device drivers, and higher-level APIs/services.
  • Debug and optimize complex hardware/software integration issues, including multithreaded applications and performance bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain robust APIs and services used by higher-level applications and test automation.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and product managers in an Agile environment (story planning, sprint work, retrospectives).
  • Improve software quality and engineering efficiency via code reviews, unit/integration testing, CI pipelines, and tooling.
  • Contribute to system bring-up, instrumentation, and test automation for advanced semiconductor test platforms.

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded and system-level software.
  • Solid Linux experience (user-space and/or kernel-level development) and familiarity with cross-compilation and build systems (Make, CMake, Yocto, etc.).
  • Experience debugging hardware/software integration issues with tools like GDB, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and using printk/trace.
  • Experience with embedded communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, and/or PCIe.
  • Practical experience with multithreaded programming, synchronization primitives, and concurrency debugging.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical issues and status to peers, managers, and customers.
  • Comfortable working onsite in Sunnyvale, CA five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python for automation, testing, and tooling.
  • Prior work in test, instrumentation, or semiconductor test domains.
  • Experience developing device drivers, board bring-up, or real-time OS (RTOS) knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation frameworks.

Location & Work Model

  • Onsite — Sunnyvale, CA. Candidates must be available to work from the Sunnyvale office five days per week.
